Marcia Frost knows how to tell a travel story. After years as one of the country’s top tennis writers, Marcia turned her attention to travel, food, and wellness. Today, as a full-time wheelchair user living with multiple autoimmune diseases, she uses that storytelling expertise to help travelers discover accessible adventures and to help destinations understand what true accessibility looks like.

Named one of Feedspot’s Top Disabled Travel Influencers of 2025, Marcia has built a trusted voice for Baby Boomers and older travelers who use wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility devices. She shows what it actually feels like to travel well while managing chronic illness and mobility challenges.

Marcia contributes regularly to SheBuysTravel, Accessible Journeys Magazine, and her own platform, Wine and Spirits Travel, with additional work appearing in outlets such as Fodor’s and Long Weekends.

Marcia recently shared her experience in Huntsville, Alabama. She highlights the unique, accessible, and welcoming places she discovered — and reminds us that meaningful travel is for everyone. Check out her experience in North Alabama here.

In addition to her freelance work, she shares on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn with an engaged audience of over 4,000 followers, reaching a community that is often overlooked by traditional travel marketing: older adults with disabilities who are actively looking for destinations that make travel easier, healthier, and more enjoyable.

Destinations looking to better reach Baby Boomers and travelers with mobility disabilities can contact Marcia through SheBuysTravel.
