To mark their sixth wedding anniversary, YouTube stars Squirmy and Grubs, an interabled couple boldly sharing their life experiences, including taboo relationship questions, made an announcement.
“To celebrate this milestone of our love, we are proudly launching a new resource that we’ve been pouring our hearts into for years: an 8-week support group about dating with a disability!”
The group filled to capacity almost immediately, so they decided to launch a second group later in September.
Shane (Grubs) shared, “Every single day, we connect with disabled folks who feel like the worlds of dating and romance and intimacy were made to purposefully exclude them. While our society does have a long way to go in improving our attitudes towards disability, it is TOTALLY possible to have a thriving dating and romantic life while living with a disability!”
The support group not only brings people together, but it incorporates the lived experiences and knowledge Shane and Hannah (Squirmy) have learned along the way. They took everything they know and believe about love, confidence, practical logistics, and intimacy and turned it into an 8-week support group to empower others in their love life, and to help them get started in the dating game!
